A bit more about how we wound up pedaling a coffee shop around to now having a brick and mortar
Born out of love for Greensboro and coffee, locals Austin Jeffries, Gray Johnston and Noah Parrish collaborated to create their ideal coffee spot:
High Quality Coffee - Loom Coffee Co. (Greensboro, NC)
Locally and Community-minded - Partnerships with Double Oaks Bed & Breakfast, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Black Magnolia Southern Patisserie, and Loom
Living wages and Good Jobs - $15 minimum wage (and more to come)
High Quality Coffee
Coffee is the core of our business, but quite frankly we aren’t the experts. We just deliver tasty hot bean water in a cup that is prepared with the best machines, and best technique we can provide. Our partners, Loom Coffee Co are the experts we lean on to make our coffee stand out!
What makes it better coffee?
It refers to coffee’s quality, transparency and sustainability from production to sale. It features the coffee producers as much as the roaster and coffee shop. Our version of this is working closely with Loom. They are not only sourcing and roasting incredible coffee, but also pushing for a worker empowered movement in our industry. One that enables everyone in the coffee business (and beyond!) to have a living wage, and live a high quality of life.
Local, Community Minded
While we take on special events, we’ve stuck to our principles of co-creating spaces with partnerships for specialty coffee where there isn’t any within walking distance. We want Greensboro to grow and change so that we can all walk to our favorite spots in town for our favorite treats and needs.
Living Wages, Good Jobs
To grow sustainably and intentionally, we need to be capable of paying our employees enough to live well in Greensboro. Our business model and growth strategy doesn't consider wages below $15/hr, but we also intend to build in paid sick leave and vacation.
