At Borough Coffee, Ben Singer and Franco Romero will be playing a new set of duos for guitar and saxophone. This jazz-adjacent music is lyrical and cinematic, and draws from a wide array of American music. More about the musicians:

Ben Singer is a composer and musician living in Greensboro. As Modern Robot, Ben writes and performs music for silent films, receiving the Overall Excellence Award for Music Composition at the New York International Fringe Festival, Best of the Fringe at San Francisco Fringe Festival, and a 5-star review at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Ben played guitar for the US/Canada tour of "PostSecret: The Show" and virtual orchestra for the national tour of "Wizard of Oz", using software he helped create. Locally, he can be found on keyboards and cameras for The Martha Bassett Show and accompanying many local songwriters.

On saxophone will be Cuban musician Franco Romero, a jazz performance major at UNCG. Franco was recently awarded a Tuition Assistance Scholarship from The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation.
